Our plane is well designed, which allows it to operate with many different engines. Our main engine supplier though is the German “Hirth” company. There’s been a special bond between our two companies – we have been collaborating for many decades in order to provide high quality performance planes to the end user. We mainly use their F-33 (28hp) model, which is especially adjusted to meet our plane’s specifications and flight performance. F-33 has proven to be the most optimal engine solution for our DAR Solo airplane. However, there are many other Solo’s throughout the world, using many different engines. For instance, Solo owners have been reported to use Walkerjet F-200 and F-250, Simonini Mini2 evo and Mini 3, as well as some rotor engines like Wankel – Aixro XF-40. AeroplanesDAR do not limit you in your engine choice – we only want to help you choose the optimal solution for your plane and needs.
